I have profiles on several websites where I spend some time looking for partners. Some of these sites seem to be more notorious for what-the-fuckery than others. The worst offender (in my my eyes) has to be okcupid, but I do get this on every other site I belong to, just not in such numbers or with such shear stupidity accompanying it. MEN. So.. I was listening to NPR this morning (because I do that), and  there was a news story about a lesbian. She lives in Pakistan and is not planning on leaving.  She feared for her life a lot.  Not from the government but from her family and village (honor killings, etc). The story went on about how she fell in love with her best friend in high school and they had this undercover lesbian relationship until the girlfriend broke it off with her to marry a man and try to conform to the social norms. Eventually she moved on, tried to marry a man and two months in met another woman and fell in love. She divorced her husband (successfully) and now lives with her female lover in a nice apartment in Pakistan. I will be the first person to admit swinging is not for every person or every relationship.  Any relationship I was involved in before D would not have been a relationship where swinging would have worked--That's ok! Swinging is a MAGNIFIER. This means that if your relationship is stable, swinging may enhance it. If your relationship is not stable, swinging will destroy it.  There are a hundred and one reasons that someone would decide not to swing. I remember when I first heard the term "swinger" I was so repulsed that I didn't talk about it for a while. I picked up one of these puppies, a feeldoe slim. I received the shipping notice today. I'll take a few pictures and write up a review after I get to take it out for a test drive... If you're serious about swinging, or just care about your overall sexual health. The first thing I would suggest is going to your OBGYN (female) or general practitioner (male) and get screened for all the STI/STDs you can think of. If your insurance sucks (like mine) try a free of low-cost clinic (if you're in college your on campus health center will be able to either do the testing for you, or tell you where you can get it done). Planned Parenthood usually offers low cost testing. Most major city and suburb areas have clinics locally. Your doctor (or a good google search) will be able to tell you where you can find a good one. If you're going to a free clinic, be prepared to wait a bit to get seen so give yourself some time. If you have a steady partner, go together, you'll have each other there, and you'll both be able to get your results. I would recommend EVERYTHING, just as a baseline; AIDS/HIV, hepatitis, herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HPV, bacte...
